Minneapolis, MN (Vocus) February 3, 2009 — In one more considerable phase towards securing Journey Leaders (www.travelleaders.com)’ area as among the list of journey industry’s major and most prestigious model names, Travel Acquisitions Team (TAG) CEO Barry Liben at this time introduced a strategic realignment with the group creating a new small business travel (www.travelleaders.com) division inside of the TAG business. Journey Leaders Corporate consolidates every one of the company’s owned corporate functions less than the Journey Leaders umbrella with longtime Tzell Lover and Vice President of Company Enhancement David Holyoke serving because the new division’s president. Concurrently, Liben declared that TAG’s company-owned leisure operations at the moment are being consolidated under its Holland (MI)-based ProQuest Journey Group division headed by its President Tom Baumann.

Journey Leaders Associates (franchisees) continue to be an integral component of TAG’s The Travel Franchise Group (TTFG) division headed by its President Roger E. Block, CTC, and so they will benefit from elevated use of business enterprise and leisure journey assets throughout the new Travel Leaders Corporate and ProQuest Travel Team divisions. Neither Tzell Journey Group’s commissioned agents or branches, nor Connexions Loyalty Travel Solutions are integrated during the strategic realignment introduced today.

“This realignment gives our renewed dedication that Travel Leaders will serve as our marquee manufacturer,” described Liben. “By consolidating our varied company-owned company and leisure journey holdings, as well as equivalent journey acquisitions later on, into two central operations, we’ll supply an much more robust and strong premier journey supplying to each of our valued customers. By increasing and strengthening our company-owned Travel Leaders operations, equally by means of David and Tom’s respective divisions, we glance ahead to attracting much more independent businesses in to the Journey Leaders Associate franchise plan, which Roger prospects. The accomplishment of our company-owned and franchised Travel Leaders operations are not able to be mutually special – they’re going to continue to be intertwined as we create the industry’s foremost identify in travel,” Liben extra.

Journey Acquisitions Group was formed in January 2008 when TAG Chairman and Founder Michael Batt acquired the former Carlson Leisure Team from Minneapolis-based Carlson. At that time, all of the company’s company journey functions ended up largely confined to all those involved within just TAG’s ProQuest Travel Group. Subsequently, in March 2008, TAG acquired the predominantly corporate-oriented Florida-based TraveLeaders. As element with the method to rename TraveLeaders together with the exact new model chosen for TTFG’s Carlson Wagonlit Travel Associates (franchise) application, the acquisition was introduced beneath the auspices of that TAG division, which proceeds to keep up oversight for all franchise offerings.

Coinciding while using unveiling in the Journey Leaders brand to Carlson Wagonlit Travel Associates and TraveLeaders in August 2008, Travel Acquisitions Team and New York-based Tzell Journey Team jointly introduced the merger of their two companies. In the time in the merger, Tzell Journey Team was previously ranked as among the nation’s top four company journey management firms.

Journey Leaders Corporate

“As we proceed transforming Journey Leaders into on the list of industry’s foremost names in journey, we are going to harness the best components of each of our various corporate journey entities and synergize them via a single solid income power,” explained Holyoke. “I’m thrilled that we are going to also lover with our Journey Leaders franchisees in what promises to get an unprecedented amount of interaction.”

Holyoke joined Tzell in 2003 as vice president of enterprise advancement, and in 2007 grew to become a companion inside the firm. His obligations at Tzell included overseeing its corporate journey operation, negotiating provider agreements, discovering new income streams, and figuring out acquisition targets. Ahead of becoming a member of Tzell, Holyoke appreciated a 10-year career at American Airlines where he expended time in various sales positions, together with his last position as director of worldwide sales and marketing and advertising to the airline’s eastern division.

As element on the realignment, Holyoke introduced that his leadership workforce is comprised of Mark Elias as executive vice president of small business advancement; Karen Blauw as senior vice president of functions; and Stephen Thomas-Schulere as senior vice president of consumer relations. Each and every leader continues to be promoted, respectively, from positions within just TraveLeaders, ProQuest and Tzell.

ProQuest Journey Group

“By enabling our ProQuest group to target entirely on our award-winning leisure journey solutions, some of which currently carry the Journey Leaders name, we start looking forward to further more strengthening our specialized niche offerings and contributing to your overall TAG corporation,” mentioned Baumann, president of ProQuest Journey Group. “With each of the constructive, strategic moves we’re creating within Journey Acquisitions Team, we are self-confident that we’ll be in a very much better situation, regardless of what the long run holds.”

Also to its company-owned Journey Leaders leisure travel operations, ProQuest Travel Group involves Cruise Specialists, CruiseDeals.com, All Aboard Journey, Partners In Travel, SinglesCruise.com and Luxurious Journey Network. The title ProQuest alone will not be a consumer-facing manufacturer, but simply the name of the division.

In tandem along with the realignment, Baumann declared that his leadership group is comprised of Jody Ryland as vice president of leisure travel (Travel Leaders); Chris Parker as vice president of All Aboard Journey, Partners In Journey and SinglesCruise.com; Greg Nacco as vice president of Cruise Specialists; and Jared Smith as standard supervisor of CruiseDeals.com.

The Travel Franchise Group

“When we embarked on the daring, new course just above a person calendar year in the past, Mike Batt featured our franchisees his sweeping eyesight for how we might collaborate fully with them by placing their best interests to begin with,” noted Block, president of TTFG. “I’m enthusiastic that we’re providing on that assure, demonstrating our resolve to develop Travel Leaders into one of several industry’s most effective and respectable names in travel.”

The Journey Franchise Group is comprised of four franchised brand names, such as Journey Leaders, Cruise Vacations, Final results! Travel and SeaMaster Cruises. All 4 manufacturers ended up just lately ranked once again in Entrepreneur’s yearly Franchise 500® listing. The identify The Travel Franchise Group by itself is not a consumer-facing brand, but basically the identify on the division.

Vail Mountain right now announced that while using the latest completion of your automatic snowmaking process on Golden Peak, two-time Earth Cup All round champion and Vail resident Lindsey Vonn has started education for the resort alongside Ski & Snowboard Club Vail athletes. The Golden Peak portion of Vail Mountain is only open to scheduled ski teams and clubs. Vail Mountain is slated to open to the public on Friday, Nov. 20.

Earlier this spring the U.S. Forest Service approved the Ski & Snowboard Club Vail-funded installation of automated snowmaking equipment on Vail Mountain’s Golden Peak. The snowmaking upgrade allows Ski & Snowboard Club Vail athletes and other athletes from around the entire world the opportunity to train on Vail Mountain during the early-season. Teams from Austria, Germany Australia and members from both the men’s and women’s U.S. Ski Teams among others will also be teaching on Vail Mountain from the coming weeks.

“The partnership with Ski & Snowboard Club Vail has allowed us to explore new technologies in snowmaking and to host some with the best athletes while in the earth on Vail Mountain, including Vail’s own Lindsey Vonn,” said Chris Jarnot, chief operating officer of Vail Mountain and senior vice president of Vail Resorts. “The snowmaking upgrade will also put Vail Mountain in great shape for your 2009-2010 season and we’re looking forward to providing an earlier-than-normal terrain park experience for our guests in Golden Peak, keeping with our commitment to providing a premier ski and snowboard experience for our guests.”

The snowmaking upgrade will also provide Vail Mountain with snow to build and open the Golden Peak terrain park to the public as early as mid-December in addition to normal snowmaking priorities around the western side in the mountain.

Vail Mountain continues to seek out ways to enhance its ski and snowboard terrain to offer guests a premier mountain experience. The new snowmaking program in Golden Peak is the most recent example of this. In addition, Vail is committed to having a terrain park experience available to guests on opening day. Additional details on opening day will be made available closer to Nov. 20.

Vail Snow Daze 2009 (http://vail.com)

Grammy-nominated Barenaked Ladies will take the stage for a free concert on Saturday, Dec. 12 at Vail Snow Daze, the resort’s annual winter kick-off bash, scheduled for Dec. 7-13, 2009. Also included in the free concert lineup presented by Bud Light are Robert Randolph & The Family Band, Eve 6 and Pete Kilpatrick Band. Vail Snow Daze celebrates the start from the winter ski and snowboard season in Vail with a weeklong schedule of contests, parties, giveaways and on-mountain events including the annual Dummy Demolition Derby under the lights at Golden Peak. For more information, visit www.vailsnowdaze.com.

Epic Season Pass (http://www.epicpass.com)

There’s still time to take advantage of one from the best deals from the ski industry – the $599 unlimited, unrestricted Epic Season Pass for skiing at six resorts – Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone, Heavenly and Arapahoe Basin – all season long.
